The Washington State Fair was bustling downtown with the Sportsmen’s Show, sports teams were practicing at Sparks Stadium, Anthem Coffee was packed, and the weekend vibe was in full gear. Now that we are back to the work week read below to get inspired and add a fun event to your schedule. South Hill Library 

Join a local business coach and representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration and Pierce County Library System as they walk you through what it really takes to start and run a business. Whether you are purchasing a company, starting a new venture, or seeking a franchise award, you’ll learn whether starting a business is right for you at this time in your life and in this economic cycle. Thinking about going into business for yourself?

America’s Largest Antique and Collectible Show

America’s Largest Antique and Collectible Show is taking place at the Washington State Fair Event Center this weekend. The largest Antique & Collectible Show in the Puget Sound happens twice a year with 400 booths of all vintage items. Unique finds include vintage clothing, estate jewelry, furniture, decorative items, pottery, costume jewelry, glass repair, clocks, watches, kitchenware, art deco, dolls, toys from the 1880s to 1970s, vintage tribal art, Parrish & Fox prints, rare books and much more.

Pinot’s Palette 

Painting and wine in one relaxing evening. Spend the evening at Pinot’s Palette in the Sunrise Village located on South Hill. Pick your day and time here! Get together with a group of friends and enjoy an evening of painting, chatting, and wine. You will walk away with a new piece of art to either display or give to someone who would appreciate it. There are different painting designs to chose from, so after reviewing the different evenings and options, you should be able to settle on a painting that you would want to create.

 

New Food in Puyallup

Puyallup is known for family-friendly restaurants. But recently a few new places have popped up that are worth trying out. British Bites downtown will be an experience that transports you from Puyallup to England. If you are looking for something unique and enjoy exploring different cultures, give this place a try! The Hub is now open in  Puyallup. The Hub is your neighborhood pub and the favorite hangout for locals and visitors alike! They are known for craft beer and signature thin-crust, artisan style pizzas, Mediterranean flavors in their pasta, sandwiches, and salads. Fueled by great beer, good times, and community connection, this is The Hub! Chick-fil-A is coming to Puyallup! The new location is on South Hill across from the mall and opens February 9th. The first 100 customers will get special deals for a year.

High School Winter Sports

With the cold winter months in full swing, indoor winter sports are a great way for students to stay active and busy. Check out the different schools and teams and go out and support a student you know in the community.
